Meet the team - Huaman Author
We are Priscilla Huaman, a clothing and textile designer, and Diego Yañez, an audiovisual creator. Our project, from a social perspective, seeks to promote and preserve ethical labor relations by integrating local communities into our value chain, thereby optimizing the established knowledge of national human resources. We also promote social change based on diversity awareness through the production of unique, gender-neutral design pieces inspired by the combination of artisanal culture, inherent to the ancestral manipulation of organic materials, and the disruptive stance of the art scene.
Our line of basics is handwoven in the province of Petorca, La Ligua, by the Hilacoop Cooperative, made up of women artisans and spinners with a rich heritage and history.
They are: Gloria Acosta, Biddy Lemus, Ines Perez, Mercedes Espinoza, Silvia Marin, Mercedes Espinoza, Nury Esperguez, Eugenia Baez, Eliana Flores, Jimena Mondaca, Zara Álvarez, Violeta Osses.
